Southern Irish Mortgages for UK Property show Signs of Easing
Great News today as the availability of buy-to-let mortgages for Southern Irish finally shows signs of improvement. Whether you are looking for deals that are BMV, high yielding, or a combination of both, this is excellent news if you are an investor based in Southern Ireland.
We have just heard that Bank of Scotland International will be launching a very competitive buy-to-let product for Southern Irish Nationals looking to purchase property in the United Kingdom. This is the highest loan-to-value product we have seem offered to Southern Irish investors for some time now; since Capital Home Loans withdrew from the market around this time last year.
Although the loan-to-value is capped at 70% compared to 75% LTV currently on offer to UK Nationals with different lenders, the introduction of this product is definitely a step in the right direction. The rate is not bad either, at just 3.34%.
Advantages
• Highest LTV residential buy-to-let product we have seen offered to Southern Irish Investors in some time
• Excellent rate of 3.34% on offer
• Also available to UK nationals living abroad, Expatriates & Foreign Nationals
Restrictions
• Maximum 70% Loan-to-value on offer to Southern Irish
• Personal income required to buy is high at £50,000 per annum
• Minimum loan amount is £100,000 meaning property must be valued at £143,000 or above
• Overall credit checks seem more stringent than usual
